Thesis Statement

Creative coaching, narrative strategy & storytelling for brands, places, and people with something different to say.

A Thesis Statement isn’t just a sentence.

It’s a perspective, a concept, a throughline, a point of view.

Whether you’re building a business, product, or personal brand, your Thesis Statement makes you you, keeps your vantage point clear, and sets you apart from everyone else’s by-the-playbook or off-the-cuff blah.

Meet your antidote to play-it-safe, one-size-fits-all “beige.”

Because the world’s too crowded for blending in, copycatting, or going with whatever ChatGPT spits out. (You weren’t made for that, anyway.)

Together, we’ll turn ideas, inklings, hunches, and open space into moments people will actually feel, connect with, and return to.

Thesis Statement sits at the intersection of culture, design, style, editorial, and emotion.

…not to mention business, liberal arts, psychology, technology, and peer-reviewed research, too.

Critical thinking, creativity, and cross-disciplinarity are our superpowers. We* consume—via reading, watching, listening, observing, and traveling—widely (and wildly) to cultivate our taste and sharpen our toolkit.

Then, we pull, push, curate, recombine, yin, and yang to create experiences, tell stories, and find solutions that actually move real-life humans to feel something. (AI could never.)

*Yes, that’s a royal “we.” Guilty. Thesis Statement is me, Lindsey Canant. More on that below.

Be you, not them.

Make *your* mark.

By design, not default.

Don’t blend in—stand out.

Style with substance (always).

The TL;DR

Hi, hey, hello.

I’m Lindsey.

I’m equal parts writer, strategist, and mastermind of elegant (yet… ever so… tongue-in-cheek) plot twists.

  • From rural roots to the Ivy League. (I was a Wyomingite at Harvard—party of one.)

  • Lost my middle school spelling bee… but made words my job anyway.

  • Got my first bylines as a fashion and cocktail journalist. A decade later, colleagues called me “the bubbles in a brand’s champagne.”

  • Zoom in, zoom out, repeat. From the littlest details to the big, culture-level picture, I bounce back and forth like it’s my job. (Because it is.)

  • Quite possibly the world’s shortest, smiliest, quippiest introvert. Still waiting to hear back from Guinness World Records on that one.

My POV:

hits different.

And my mission? To sprinkle the world with (a lot!) more of it.

Plus, a newsletter ⤵
